Introduction
Hello, my name is Megan.
This blog should have been started a few months ago when I finished posting on my last blog, Memoirs of a China Traveler. I returned home from a year abroad, started a job with the fabulous futurist group Institute for the Future, and busied myself with friends, family, and yoga. Somehow the blog never got started. Aside from being busy, I feared that no longer traveling through an exciting country, I had run out of interesting things to post about. Who wants to hear about a normal life of a 19-year-old living at home in California? I had originally started the blog as a means to keep in touch while oversees, but once at home, that need also went away.
So perhaps my summer was a bit tame, and it was nice to take a break from blogging, but I've started a new chapter in my life: college, and I'm ready to get started again.
I'm finding myself running into things almost every day that I want to post about and no blog on which to do it, so I finally rolled up my sleeves, sat down at my computer, and created this. I'm not sure how it's going to turn out. I don't even know what I'll REALLY end up writing about. But I'm going to try because I think blogging is a wonderful activity that not enough of my peers partake in.
